Hi, thank you for visiting. I’m Ekaterina.
Let’s create something wonderful.
About me
I am a graphic designer from Queens, New York. Having graduated from college in 2017 with a degree in design and information technology, I worked for five years as lead designer and marketing manager at a legal technology consulting company. In 2022, I earned an additional degree in User Experience research and design. Through 2024, I solely led the marketing functions of an appellate services firm.
As a creative solution architect for projects and challenges of all calibers, I enjoy being present from planning to execution, and serving as a helpful, knowledgeable resource.
-
I particularly enjoy typography and visual layout work, the meticulous assembly of text and graphics until it all makes sense on a page. With roots in traditional print design like posters and flyers, I have recently discovered a new passion in UX design.
-
Every project has to start somewhere. I prefer to kick off my projects with a conversation and diligent research. What are we trying to achieve? How are others achieving the same? Supported by data and visual inspiration, a plan is crafted, and the work begins.
-
I am an avid considerer of the “what if”s who enjoys having a backup plan waiting in my pocket. I respect a diligent work ethic and a willingness to learn. I don’t shy away from going the extra mile.
Above all, I value a task performed thoughtfully—with care, attention, and consideration of the smallest detail.
Projects
With five years of experience serving as Marketing Manager and lead designer, my portfolio of work for KK includes a multitude of skills represented in branding, advertising, and collateral creation projects.
Solely driving the operations of the marketing team at Counsel Press, my focus as Marketing Manager was to refresh and unify our design strategy, creating elegant, vernacular-conscious, and professional materials for the appellate market.
An in-depth case study spanning the development of my 2022 capstone UX Research & Design project, the HomeMate app.
HomeMate is a household chore management app for a group of young adults cohabitating in a shared space.
Typography Art
These letter-based artwork projects include a typographic portrait of actress Lucille Ball, and a series of designs for Profiled, a documentary about racial profiling and police brutality.
